Working as part of an experienced field team, you'll help keep projects on schedule while maintaining AMPAM's high standards for safety and craftsmanship.
Responsibilities include:
Install domestic water, sanitary sewer, storm drain, gas, and vent piping Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and plumbing drawings Assemble, install, and test piping systems and plumbing fixtures Install underground plumbing and rough-in systems Measure, cut, thread, and assemble various piping materials Perform pressure testing and identify leaks or system deficiencies Coordinate installations with other trades on active construction sites Ensure work complies with California plumbing codes and project specifications Mentor apprentices and support less experienced team members as needed Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area What We're Looking For Minimum 4 years of plumbing experience in multifamily or commercial construction Experience installing complete plumbing systems on new construction projects Ability to read blueprints and plumbing plans Working knowledge of California/UPC plumbing codes Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Reliable transportation to assigned project sites OSHA 10 certification preferred First Aid certification is a plus Journeyman-level experience is strongly preferred. Work Environment This is a field-based position supporting active multifamily construction projects throughout the San Diego area. Work is performed indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and requires frequent standing, climbing, lifting, bending, kneeling, and working from ladders and scaffolding.
