$24-33/hr. To see a list of all MTech's great perks visit - https://mtechg.com/careers/benefits-wellness/ Job Summary We're looking for a skilled Drain Technician with 2-3 years of hands-on experience in drain cleaning and camera inspection. In this role, you'll primarily serve commercial clients, with the occasional residential project, diagnosing and resolving drain issues using industry-standard tools such as cabling machines, hydro jetters, sewer cameras, and pipe locators. You'll play a key role in restoring proper flow, identifying root causes, and recommending effective solutions — all while delivering top-tier service and professionalism on every job.Essential Job Function:
Operate drain cabling equipment, hydro jetters, sewer cameras, and locators to identify and resolve blockages or damage Perform sewer scoping, line locating, and assess pipe conditions to suggest appropriate repairs or maintenance Clear and clean drains in kitchens, bathrooms, and main sewer lines using industry tools Provide clear feedback and any repair recommendations to clients Handle minor plumbing repairs related to drain systems Complete required service documentation accurately and on time Collect and record service fees when necessary Maintain safe work practices and follow MTech's safety standards and procedures Represent MTech with professionalism and integrity on every job site Maintain required tools and PPE, arrive prepared, and support a productive job start Participate in on-call rotation and be available for after-hours service as needed Attend regular team meetings and ongoing training sessions Regular and predictable attendance is expected in order to meet the requirements of this position Other duties as assignedQualifications:
High school diploma or GED 2-3 years of drain cleaning and inspection experience (preferred in a service-focused role) Familiarity with equipment such as: Cabling machines (e.g., Gorlitz, Spartan, Ridgid) Hydro jetters Sewer cameras and pipe locators Basic understanding of plumbing systems (we'll train for growth!) Willingness to enroll in MTech's accredited Apprenticeship Program Ability to lift, bend, kneel, and work in tight spaces as needed Clean driving record and ability to meet MTech's driver standards Flexible and willing to work within the on-call schedule Commitment to safe, quality-driven work and excellent client serviceAbout MTech:
