This position is ideal for a dependable plumber who is comfortable performing water heater installations, plumbing repairs, troubleshooting, and service calls in residential, multifamily, and light commercial properties. Duties Install and replace gas and electric water heaters Diagnose and repair water heater problems Install and replace expansion tanks Perform residential and commercial plumbing service calls Diagnose and repair leaks, low water pressure, and hot water issues Repair and replace faucets, fixtures, shower valves, and cartridges Repair copper, PEX, CPVC, and other common plumbing piping Perform soldering and ProPress connections Troubleshoot water supply and drainage issues Replace and troubleshoot circulating pumps Assist with boiler and hydronic heating repairs when applicable Inspect plumbing systems and identify additional repair needs Test completed repairs and installations before leaving the property Communicate clearly with customers, tenants, property managers, and office staff Upload before-and-after photos, service notes, equipment information, and materials used Maintain a clean and professional work area Safely operate a company vehicle when assigned Requirements Minimum 3 years of hands-on professional plumbing experience preferred Strong experience installing and replacing water heaters Ability to diagnose plumbing problems independently Experience with residential and/or commercial service plumbing Ability to solder copper Experience with ProPress preferred Knowledge of copper, PEX, CPVC, and common plumbing materials Familiarity with plumbing codes and proper installation practices Basic mechanical troubleshooting ability Ability to safely lift and move plumbing equipment and water heaters Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Reliable transportation Ability to use a smartphone for job assignments, photos, communication, and service documentation Professional and respectful communication with customers and property managers Dependable, punctual, and able to work with limited supervision A plumbing or gasfitting license is also a plus. Candidates who live in Washington, DC or within a reasonable commuting distance are preferred.
