Overview Join our dynamic construction team as a Journeyman Plumber and bring your expert skills to life! In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across residential and commercial projects. Your mechanical knowledge, adherence to building codes, and ability to read blueprints will ensure that every job is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilize a wide range of tools and techniques, and contribute to building safe and reliable plumbing systems that stand the test of time. Duties Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, gas piping systems, and drainage components in accordance with local building codes and project specifications Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to execute precise plumbing installations Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, welding equipment, and other construction tools safely and effectively on various job sites Conduct routine maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and system upgrades for residential and commercial plumbing systems Ensure compliance with safety regulations, plumbing building codes, and environmental standards during all phases of work Collaborate with construction teams, contractors, and clients to meet project timelines and quality expectations Perform heavy lifting, assembly, remodeling tasks, and site cleanup as needed to maintain a safe work environment Skills Proven construction site experience with a strong understanding of construction plumbing practices Skilled in welding techniques relevant to pipe joining and repairs Deep knowledge of plumbing building codes, local regulations, and safety standards Ability to read blueprints, schematics, construction plans, and technical diagrams accurately Proficient with hand tools such as wrenches, pipe cutters, threading machines; experienced with power tools for pipe installation and maintenance Excellent customer service skills for field service interactions with clients or property owners Experience working with MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) tasks related to plumbing systems Mechanical aptitude with understanding of gas piping systems and complex plumbing layouts Strong math skills for measurements and calculations during installation or repairs Capable of heavy lifting safely while managing multiple tasks on busy construction sites Valid commercial driver's license preferred for transporting materials or equipment when required Handyman experience or background in remodeling adds versatility to your skill set Embark on a rewarding career where your expertise makes a tangible difference!
