Job Overview Southpaw Plumbing is seeking an experienced, self‑motivated Service Plumber to join our team. This role requires strong diagnostic ability, solid technical skills, and the professionalism to communicate clearly with customers. Candidates must be able to work independently, manage daily service calls, and perform high‑quality repairs and installations in residential and light commercial environments. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and repair leaks, drain clogs, fixture issues, and other service‑related problems Communicate clearly and professionally with customers regarding findings and recommended repairs Install and repair pipes, fixtures, valves, supports, and related plumbing components Work with copper, PVC, CPVC, PEX, and cast iron piping systems Modify pipe lengths, fittings, and fixtures as needed for proper installation Use saws, pipe cutters, and other tools safely and effectively Collaborate with contractors, tradesmen, and subcontractors when required Test plumbing systems for leaks, performance, and code compliance Identify appropriate tools, materials, and repair methods based on the issue Select plumbing materials based on budget, location, and system requirements Follow all health, safety, and building code standards Document service calls with clear notes summarizing problems found and actions taken Perform inspections to identify worn or failing components and recommend replacement Minimum Requirements Minimum 4 years plumbing experience (service experience preferred) Valid driver's license and clean driving record Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs, climb ladders, work in attics/crawl spaces, and maneuver through buildings Ability to bend, twist, kneel, and perform physical tasks required for plumbing work Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently Professional communication and customer‑service skills Reliable transportation to and from work Schedule Full‑time Standard 8‑hour shift Occasional overtime as needed

$25.80 - $35.00 per hour
