Plumber Job Description A journeyman plumber is responsible for: Installing plumbing systems: Installing water supply lines, drainage systems, sewer lines, fixtures, and piping.

Repairing plumbing issues:

Diagnosing and repairing leaks, clogged drains, broken pipes, and malfunctioning plumbing fixtures.

Reading blueprints:

Interpreting construction drawings, plumbing plans, and specifications.

Maintaining equipment:

Inspecting, testing, and maintaining plumbing systems to ensure proper operation.

Using tools and equipment:

Operating pipe cutters, threading machines, soldering equipment, power tools, and other plumbing instruments.

Following safety codes:

Ensuring all work meets local plumbing codes, building regulations, and workplace safety requirements.

Working with others:

Coordinating with contractors, supervisors, electricians, and other construction professionals.

Skills and qualifications:
