Job Description

Job Overview Posted by: Total Appliance & A/C Repair Pros About us Total Appliance & A/C Repair Pros is a 55-year-old, third-generation family-owned home services company serving Broward, Miami-Dade, and South Palm Beach counties. We are launching a new sewer and drain specialty division focused on three services: high-pressure jet cleaning, sewer camera inspections, and trenchless pipelining (CIPP). We are hiring the founding lead plumber for this new division. This is employee number one on the trade side. You will be in the truck on day one, and you will help us build this division from the inside out. You did not need CIPP certification if you are a highly experienced/skilled plumber. We will provide training. This is not a normal plumbing job. Read the whole thing before applying. What you'll actually do
  • Run sewer camera inspections in homes, condos, and commercial buildings.
  • Operate jetters on residential and commercial drain lines.
  • Diagnose pipe issues from camera footage and write the scope of work.
  • Quote the customer or property manager on site. You explain what's wrong, what the options are, and what we recommend. You close the job.
  • Once the division is generating revenue from jetting and camera work, we'll send you to full manufacturer training to become certified in CIPP pipelining. The company pays for training, travel, and certification.
  • Document every job. Before and after video. Scope sheet. Job notes. Photos. No exceptions.
  • Help us hire and train the second tech and helper when we're ready. You're building the crew. What we require from you Non-negotiable. If you don't have all of these, do not apply for this role:
  • Florida journeyman or master plumber license, current and clean.
  • 3+ years of hands-on drain cleaning and sewer work. Not just general plumbing.
  • Hands-on experience operating sewer cameras and locators. You can read footage, identify root intrusion, bellies, offsets, and cracks, and explain what you see.
  • Hands-on experience operating jetters on residential and commercial lines. You know your nozzles, your pressures, and when to jet vs. when not to.
  • Clean driving record. Will pass a background check and drug test.
  • Owns your own hand tools.
Strongly preferred:
  • Experience working in condos and HOA buildings. You know how to behave in a unit, deal with a board, and handle a building engineer.
  • Previous CIPP or pipelining experience is a plus but not required.
We will train the right person.
We do not care about:
  • Whether you went to college.
  • Whether you've worked at a "big" company before.
  • How old you are. If you're 22 with three solid years on a jetter and camera, apply. What kind of person we're looking for
  • Well-mannered and well spoken. You can walk into a million-dollar condo and into a 1970s ranch home and treat both customers exactly the same.
  • You understand the role is part technician, part salesperson. You spec the job, you quote it, you sell it, and then you do it. If selling is uncomfortable for you, this isn't your job.
  • You do things by the book. Every time. You don't shortcut a process. You don't skip the second camera pass. You don't guess.
  • You take video and write notes without being told. Every job. You know it's for your protection, and for the customer's satisfaction.
  • You'd rather be told you're wrong than let a job go out wrong.
  • You want to build something, not just clock in.
What we're offering This is a true founding role. We're not just filling a seat. We're looking for the person who's going to help us build this division from the truck up, and we're structuring the compensation so that if you're the one, you win as big as we do.
Three layers of compensation:
1. Base salary of $60,000 to $85,000 depending on your license level and experience. You're paid like a professional from day one. 2. 7% commission on every ticket you run. Jet cleanings, camera inspections, and once you're certified, every pipelining job. There is no cap. The cleaner and faster you produce, the more you take home. A lead plumber who runs this role well can realistically earn well into six figures of total compensation, with the upside scaling as the division grows. We'll walk you through the math in person. 3. Founder equity in the division is available to the right person. This is not a perk for showing up. It's a real ownership stake we are prepared to offer the candidate who proves they are the ones to build this with us. Equity terms, vesting, and performance milestones are discussed and documented in writing once we both know it's a fit. We're treating this like a partnership, not a transaction.
What else you get:
  • Company truck, equipment, uniforms.
  • Full manufacturer of pipelining training paid for, including travel.
  • A 55-year-old parent company behind you with dispatch, marketing, and back office already handled.
You focus on the work. A note to general plumbers If you're a great licensed plumber but you don't have the specific jet cleaning and sewer camera experience above, we'd still like to hear from you. Total is always looking for strong plumbers, and we may have a place for you on the Total side even if this specific role isn't the right fit. Apply and tell us about yourself. How to apply Apply through Indeed with: 1. Your resume or a list of where you've worked for the last 5 years. 2. A copy of your Florida plumbing license. 3. A short note (3 to 5 sentences) on why this role is the one you've been waiting for. We will respond to every applicant who meets the requirements within 5 business days.
