Job Description

Ross Plumbing (CFC056481) is looking for talented foremen who can not merely manage plumbers on the job site but who can lead, inspire and train by example. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Directly manage and oversee day-to-day plumbing activities on new construction projects, especially multi-family units. Walk the job site daily to insure all work and installations are accurate, efficient and performed in adherence to code and to all best practices. Oversee installation of systems by managing, training and directing subcrews. Oversee and direct daily cleanup of job site. Provides daily guidance, training, and direction to plumbing crew consisting of journeymen, mechanics, and apprentices/helpers. Supervises day-to-day operations on assigned construction sites in accordance with company procedures and policies while helping to insure customer satisfaction throughout the process. Assembles, installs and repairs plumbing and medgas systems according to project specifications and appropriate trade and building codes. These systems may consist of pipes, fittings, fixtures and boilers for hydronic heating, water, medgas and drainage systems. Ensures safety, budget, job quality, and timely completion of each assigned project. Strong relationship building skills with field team, general contractors, owners/customers, and vendors to lead a positive work environment. Studies job specifications, contract documents, schedule and drawings to plan procedures for construction on basis of starting and completion times and staffing requirements for each phase of construction, based on knowledge of available tools and equipment and various building methods. Makes decisions by analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems. Maintain and submit reports, including time sheets, at regular intervals as required. Coordinate and verify all layouts and installations, including rough-ins, slabs, top-outs and trim. Skills Licensed Journeyman. Five to seven years' experience in commercial plumbing. Good analytical skills and attention to detail with ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and manuals. Excellent customer service and communication skills with desire to exceed customer expectations. Ability to work independently in a timely manner, making sure job is done correctly the first time. Additional Qualifications Work as part of our team to ensure customer satisfaction. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Must be able to pass drug test(s) as required by company. Lift up to 50 pounds; be able to push, pull, carry or maneuver heavier items (with additional manpower or appropriate devices); carry ladders; work from heights, work in small crawl spaces.
