Job DescriptionThe Journeyman Plumber is responsible for the maintenance of all plumbing fixtures and plumbing/piping systems within the Facility. The role is responsible for performing highly responsible independent work under general supervision in the operation, maintenance, and repair of all plumbing equipment.

Job DutiesResponsible for locating leaks, tears, blockages, corrosion, and weather damage in water, gas, fire sprinkler and HVAC featuresResponsible for fixing issues in water, gas, fire sprinkler and HVAC systems by repairing or replacing these structures, or aspects thereof.

Oversees and manages the installation of pipes, gutters, and appropriate fixtures to ensure adequate drainageConducts maintenance prevention inspections to ensure that structures are in excellent working condition upon completion of each projectPartners with fire sprinkler vendors to supervise repairs, services, certifications and inspectionsResponsible for troubleshooting and forecasting issues that may arise within the infrastructureReviews plans for proposed improvements/construction projects/ sets and ensures compliance with best practices and code requirementsMaintains daily logs and records of all maintenance functionsPeriodically runs reports and adjust controls to promote efficiencies according to new or existing workflowsResponds to work order requests in a timely fashion utilizing app driven scheduling system on mobile phoneAdheres to all safety policies and procedures regarding plumbing operations, repair, and maintenanceWorks under the direct supervision of Manager, Facilities Operations and is responsible for completing any other tasks as assigned by Manager or Supervisor as needed

QualificationsBasic Requirements:

Journeyman Plumber license in the state of Florida required, must have completed an appropriate formal training program AND/OR apprenticeshipMinimum 3 years of relevant plumbing experienceExhibits strong plumbing aptitude and troubleshooting skillsProven experience comprehending blueprintsExhibits understanding and familiarity with industrial tools and equipmentMust be able to perform physical activities required of this position which includes, but is not limited to, climbing, lifting, balancing stooping, and handling of materialsFluent in English (written and oral)Must be able to perform job at various locations interior and outside work environment with varying weather conditions.

Desired Characteristics:

Commercial plumbing experience preferredFluency in English & Spanish is preferredWorks with other team members to proactively anticipate and develop solutions to client problems.

Clearly articulates diagnostics and resolutions in communication with clients and team members and in written work orders.

This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.
