Performs skilled work in the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of plumbing systems and fixtures in residential, commercial, and industrial properties in compliance with local, state, and national plumbing codes.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fittings, fixtures, water heaters, drains, and sewage systems. 2. Inspect plumbing systems and components to identify leaks, blockages, and other issues, and perform repairs or replacements as needed. 3. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and plumbing codes to plan and execute work effectively. 4. Install and repair plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, faucets, water heaters, and garbage disposals. 5. Diagnose plumbing issues using specialized equipment, such as pressure gauges, pipe cutters, and inspection cameras. 6. Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure the proper functioning of plumbing systems. 7. Cut, assemble, and install pipes and tubes made of various materials, including PVC, CPVC, PEX, copper, and steel. 8. Test plumbing systems for leaks using air or water pressure gauges. 9. Safely operate and maintain tools and equipment required for plumbing work, including pipe threaders, welding torches, and drain cleaning machines. 10. Provide customers with cost estimates and explain the scope of work before beginning repairs or installations. 11. Ensure compliance with building and safety regulations while performing plumbing work. 12. Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and hours worked. 13. Respond to emergency plumbing calls promptly, including after-hours work as needed. 14. Participate in company-provided training programs to stay updated on plumbing systems, tools, and industry developments. 15. Safely operate company vehicles to travel to job sites and ensure the vehicles remain clean and well-maintained. 16. Adhere to company protocols, procedures, and safety standards at all times. 17. Identify and communicate potential opportunities for additional services or system improvements to customers or management. 18. Work a minimum of 40 hours per week, with overtime or on-call duties as required. 19. Perform any other tasks assigned by management to support company goals.EDUCATION AND RELATED JOB EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- 3 to 5 years of experience as a plumber, with expertise in installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems.
TECHNICAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES
- Strong understanding of local, state, and national plumbing codes.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
- Skilled in using plumbing tools and equipment, including pipe cutters, threading machines, and inspection cameras.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
- Fluent communication skills in English; Spanish proficiency is a plus.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Must be able to pass drug testing as required by the company.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work in confined spaces, climb ladders, and perform tasks in various weather conditions.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
