- Position Summary
- Performs journeyman level work and assembles, installs, and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems, according to specifications and plumbing codes.
Maintains the facilities with a focus on plumbing, temperature control, and HVAC systems. Adheres to performance expectations and performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values.
- Major Area(s) of Responsibilities
- 1.
Assembles, installs, and repairs pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems, according to specifications and plumbing codes. 2. Performs preventative maintenance on facility equipment. 3. Performs routine repair work. 4. Operates and maintains boiler room. 5. Demonstrates competency of building systems. 6. Adheres to all safety, infection control and employee health policies and procedures.
- Education and Experience Requirements
- Experience sufficient to obtain license or certification in plumbing area. Experience in a healthcare environment preferred. High school Diploma
- Knowledge, Skills, Abilities required
- Intermediate language, basic math, high reasoning ability. Personal computer. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical inclination.
- Certification/License required for the position
- Plumber journeyman license within 90 days of hire. Valid IA driver's license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR). Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training within 6 months of hire.

- May be exposed to areas that are hot or extremely dirty. Exposure to seasonal weather conditions. The tasks of this job may involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues. Potential for possible exposure to hazardous materials and/or chemicals
