Position Type:
Full-Time Reports to: Journeyman Plumber Dale Thomas Plumbing, a well-established plumbing contractor serving North Idaho and Eastern Washington since 2000, is looking for motivated New Construction Plumbing Laborers and Apprentices to join our growing team. We specialize in high-quality residential and commercial plumbing installations. If you're hardworking, reliable, and ready to learn the plumbing trade in new construction, we want to hear from you! Job Summary Join our dynamic construction team as a Plumbing Laborer or Apprentice, where you'll gain hands-on experience and contribute to essential plumbing projects across commercial and residential sites. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in construction plumbing while working alongside seasoned professionals. Duties Assist with the installation of plumbing systems using hand tools and power tools Cut, measure, and install PVC, PEX, copper, and other piping for water, drain, waste, vent, and gas lines Set plumbing fixtures, appliances, and supports Support the setup and teardown of construction sites, ensuring safety and organization Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to aid in precise system layout Operate pipe threading machines and simple hand tools to prepare piping for installation Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, disposing of debris, and adhering to safety protocols Collaborate with team members to ensure projects stay on schedule and meet quality standards Skills Basic understanding of construction processes and site safety procedures Experience or familiarity with construction plumbing systems Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment Mechanical knowledge related to plumbing installation and system troubleshooting Strong basic math skills for measurements and calculations during installations Previous experience in construction site environments or handyman roles is a plus
What We're Looking For:
No prior experience required for Laborer level — we will train the right candidate Previous construction or plumbing experience is a plus for Apprentice level Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work on ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks Strong work ethic, punctuality, and willingness to learn Positive attitude and ability to work well as part of a team Idaho Apprentice Plumbing License (or willingness to obtain one) is preferred
