Plumber

Job Description

WHO WE ARE
The Dhanani Group is a growing restaurant franchise organization with locations across the United States. We are committed to providing excellent restaurant experiences while creating opportunities for our employees to grow and succeed. We work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and are looking for dependable professionals who take pride in their work, solve problems, and provide great service to the restaurant teams they support.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking an experienced, dependable Plumber to support Burger King restaurant facilities throughout the Chicago market. In this field-based role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and installing plumbing systems and equipment while providing timely, professional, and hospitable service to our restaurant teams. The ideal candidate has at least 4 years of hands-on plumbing experience and is comfortable working independently in active restaurant environments. You should be able to troubleshoot problems, identify root causes, make sound decisions in the field, communicate effectively with restaurant management, and take ownership of your work from initial diagnosis through completion. You will also use mobile technology and our work-order management system to receive assignments, document findings, communicate status updates, record labor and materials, and properly close completed work orders.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Diagnose, repair, and maintain plumbing systems throughout restaurant facilities. Troubleshoot plumbing problems and identify the root cause rather than simply addressing symptoms. Repair and replace faucets, valves, sinks, toilets, flush valves, piping, drains, traps, and other plumbing fixtures and components. Diagnose and clear clogged or slow drains and identify recurring drainage issues requiring additional corrective action. Perform minor piping repairs, replacements, and modifications as appropriate. Identify leaks and water-related problems and take appropriate steps to minimize damage to the restaurant. Perform preventive maintenance and inspections of plumbing systems. Independently assess work orders and determine the appropriate repair strategy, required materials, and next steps. Complete assigned repairs safely, efficiently, and with an emphasis on quality and long-term reliability. Recognize repairs that exceed the scope of an in-house technician and appropriately escalate the issue. Coordinate with restaurant management before beginning work that may affect restaurant operations, water service, restrooms, or guest areas. Maintain a clean and safe work area while minimizing disruption to employees and guests. Provide clear communication to restaurant management regarding the problem, work being performed, expected completion, and any necessary follow-up. Use a smartphone, tablet, or other company-provided technology to manage work assignments. Accurately document diagnostics, repairs, materials, photographs, status updates, and completed work in the work-order system. Maintain assigned tools, equipment, parts, and company vehicle, if applicable. Assist with emergency plumbing issues as required. Follow company safety procedures and all applicable codes and regulations. Support other facilities and maintenance activities within your capabilities when needed.

Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to prioritize service calls based on operational urgency. Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record. Ability to travel throughout the assigned Chicago market. Ability to safely perform the physical requirements associated with commercial plumbing and facilities maintenance.
