Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Plumber to join our dynamic construction and maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will ensure all work complies with local building codes and safety regulations, delivering high-quality results that meet client expectations. Duties Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, gas piping systems, and HVAC components on construction sites or existing buildings. Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute plumbing projects. Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding techniques to complete installations efficiently and safely. Ensure all work adheres to local building codes, plumbing building codes, and safety regulations while maintaining compliance with the latest industry standards. Conduct routine maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and system upgrades for plumbing systems in residential and commercial settings. Collaborate with construction teams, carpenters, HVAC technicians, and other trades to coordinate project timelines and ensure seamless project execution. Lift heavy materials safely during pipe installation or remodeling projects while following proper safety procedures. Qualifications Proven construction experience with a strong background in plumbing installation and repair. Valid journeyman plumber license or equivalent certification demonstrating completion of required training. Experience reading blueprints, schematics, construction plans, and schematics related to plumbing systems. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, welding techniques, and basic math for measurements and calculations. Knowledge of plumbing building codes, local building regulations, safety regulations, and mechanical systems including gas piping systems and HVAC components. Familiarity with construction site experience including heavy lifting, remodeling projects, maintenance operations (MRO), and field service work. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse environments while maintaining a focus on safety standards. Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients and team members about project progress or issues.
