Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Plumber to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across residential and commercial projects. Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential and commercial buildings following blueprints, schematics, and construction plans. Read and interpret construction drawings, schematics, and technical manuals to ensure accurate installation of plumbing systems. Perform pipe threading, pipe installation, gas piping system setup, and the use of hand tools and power tools to complete tasks efficiently. Conduct routine maintenance and repair of plumbing systems to ensure optimal operation and compliance with local building codes. Collaborate with construction teams, carpenters, HVAC technicians, and other trades to coordinate project timelines and ensure seamless workflow. Adhere strictly to safety regulations, building code compliance standards, and environmental guidelines during all phases of work. Assist with remodeling projects, construction site setup, heavy lifting tasks, and handyman duties as needed to support project success. Skills Proven construction experience with a strong understanding of residential and commercial plumbing systems. Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, construction plans, and technical diagrams related to plumbing. Skilled in pipe threading, pipe installation, welding techniques, and working with gas piping systems. Knowledge of plumbing building codes, local regulations, safety standards, and mechanical systems including HVAC. Experience with maintenance, repair & operations (MRO), system troubleshooting, and field service activities. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, heavy lifting equipment safely and effectively on construction sites. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by basic math skills for measurements and calculations. Excellent customer service skills for interacting professionally with clients during service calls or project updates. Familiarity with construction site procedures including safety protocols and working within tight schedules. Carpentry skills or handyman experience are a plus for supporting remodeling or assembly tasks.
