Job Description
Job Summary Join the Katahdin Plumbing team as a Licensed Master Plumber at our Biddeford, ME location. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Master Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of plumbing systems, including both residential and commercial applications. This role requires a strong understanding of the National Standard Plumbing Code (NSPC) and the ability to read blueprints and schematics. As a Master Plumber, you will be responsible for overseeing plumbing installations, maintenance, and repairs while ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Duties Lead and supervise plumbing projects from conception to completion, ensuring high-quality workmanship. Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems in residential and commercial settings. Troubleshoot plumbing issues effectively. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute installations accurately. Ensure all work complies with NSPC standards and local plumbing codes. Collaborate with other tradesmen and contractors on job sites to ensure project timelines are met. Conduct inspections of plumbing systems to identify potential hazards or areas for improvement. Install, diagnose or repair residential and commercial plumbing systems with precision and care Perform upgrades to improve performance and efficiency Communicate clearly with homeowners, offering expert recommendations Ensure all work meets safety and compliance standards Train and mentor assistants in best practices and safety protocols. Experience A valid Maine Master Plumber license is required. Proven experience as a Master Plumber with a strong background in both commercial and residential environments. Proficiency in using power tools and other diagnostic equipment. Familiarity with boilers, water heaters Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex plumbing issues. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
