Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential and commercial buildings. Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine the layout of plumbing systems. Perform routine inspections and troubleshooting of plumbing systems to identify issues. Utilize basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations during installations. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters and construction workers, on job sites to ensure efficient workflow. Conduct heavy lifting as required for transporting materials and equipment on construction sites. Weld pipes and fittings as necessary to ensure secure connections within plumbing systems. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols at construction sites. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding project updates and plumbing solutions. Qualifications Proven experience as a plumber with relevant certifications or licenses. Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, and materials used in the industry. Ability to plumb various types of fixtures including sinks, toilets, showers, and water heaters. Experience with remodeling projects is preferred. Commercial driving experience is a plus for transporting tools and materials as needed. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations are essential. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods during work hours. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all tasks performed.
