Position Overview Rolls Mechanical is seeking a skilled and motivated Hearth Installer / Plumbing Service Technician to join our growing team. This role is responsible for installing, servicing, and maintaining hearth products (fireplaces, inserts, stoves) along with performing residential and light commercial plumbing service work. The ideal candidate is hands-on, customer-focused, and takes pride in delivering clean, safe, and efficient installations and repairs. Key ResponsibilitiesHearth Installation & Service Install gas and electric fireplaces, inserts, and stoves in accordance with manufacturer specifications and local codes Perform venting, gas line connections, and system testing Diagnose and repair hearth system issues Educate customers on operation, safety, and maintenance of installed systems Ensure all installations meet safety standards and pass inspection requirements Plumbing Service Perform service, repair, and installation of residential and light commercial plumbing systems Troubleshoot plumbing issues including leaks, clogs, fixture replacements, and system inefficiencies Install water heaters, fixtures, piping, and related components Maintain accurate service notes, job documentation, and material usage General Responsibilities Deliver exceptional customer service on every job Maintain a clean and professional jobsite and company vehicle Communicate effectively with dispatch, service managers, and customers Follow all company safety policies and procedures Participate in ongoing training and development Qualifications 3+ years of plumbing and/or hearth installation experience preferred Experience with gas piping and venting systems strongly preferred Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Ability to read blueprints, manuals, and technical documents Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to work independently and as part of a team
