Responsibilities Provide services and support, not limited to, the following critical patient care areas: Emergency Department, Linen & Central Services, Pediatric & Neonatal & other Intensive Care Units, Inpatient care areas requiring overnight stays for patients, Psychiatric & Complex Intervention Units, Transplant Units, Labor & Delivery, Cath Labs, and a Heliport. Responsibilities include supporting the Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) along with the areas and occupants of a Chapel and Convent. Mayo Clinic Hospital - Rochester is accredited by The Joint Commission. Staff will be expected to complete Preventive Maintenance (PM) per policies and/or procedures following the CMMS timeline. The timeline and PM completion rate is in alignment with The Joint Commission requirements. Technicians may be required to perform activities outside of their job classification. Operate, maintain, repair and diagnose complex, critical mechanical/plumbing systems and equipment relating to Building Infrastructure. Demonstrates effective communication, assertiveness, and versatility in responding to customer needs. Is able to plan, organize, and prioritize work tasks. May be required to work with others in planning and scheduling for modifications and repairs to systems with minimal disruption to the mission of our organization while meeting fiscal constraints. Alert to all aspects of equipment when responding to customer requests and communicate concerns to appropriate personnel. Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills. Possesses excellent human relations skills to interact with staff, visitors, and patients. Available to work occasional overtime. On-call rotation may be required. Maximum response times for on-call determined per campus location. Serves as a resource and mentor to others. Qualifications High school diploma/GED required. Five years of trade specific experience working with plumbing and mechanical systems related to Building Infrastructure. Must demonstrate abilities to operate, maintain, repair and diagnose complex, critical mechanical/plumbing systems and equipment relating to Building Infrastructure. Four years of military experience in a related field may be considered in lieu of the field service experience requirements. Experience working in a healthcare facility is preferred.

Licensure/Certification Required:

Minnesota Journeyman or Masters Plumbing License.
