Residential Service Plumber Requirements & Qualifications:
Must Haves- Minimum 5 years residential plumbing field experience
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability
- Experience in service-based plumbing, not just new construction
- Experience servicing and replacing tank and tankless water heaters
- Experience repairing leaks, fixtures, faucets, toilets, PRVs
- Experience performing sewer and drain diagnostics
- Ability to troubleshoot pressure issues and water hammer
- Experience testing and repairing gas lines safely
- Ability to read and understand plumbing codes
- Clean driving record
- Professional appearance and strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently without supervision Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair residential plumbing systems
- Replace water service lines
- Provide clear explanations and solutions to homeowners
- Provide accurate estimates and document completed work
- Maintain clean, organized service vehicle
- Participate in on-call rotation as needed
Residential Service Plumber Preferred Background & Skills:
Nice to Have- Missouri plumbing license
- Experience with boilers or hydronic systems
- Experience using service software such as Housecall Pro
- Long-term tenure with previous employers
- Service-minded approach versus high-pressure sales mindset
