The Department of Facilities and Construction Management at Jackson State University is accepting applications for its Plumber I position. Operate hand tools and power tools associated with the plumbing trade. Repair/replace general plumbing equipment, water heaters, pumps, etc. Repair work on clogged sewer lines and sanitary plumbing equipment. Leads troubleshooting efforts and repair water and gas distribution systems. Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by the Supervisor and/or Director. High School Diploma or GED. Must possess a valid Mississippi Driver's License. 5 to 7 years' experience in preventive maintenance. General working knowledge of maintenance type plumbing and general maintenance repairs. Must be capable of reading, comprehending and interpreting mechanical construction installation plans and specifications.
