Job Description

Position Summary We are seeking a motivated, skilled and dependable Journeyman Plumber to join our team in Montana. The successful candidate will install, repair, maintain, and troubleshoot plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and/or industrial settings. This position requires strong technical knowledge, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently while complying with all applicable plumbing codes and safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, utilizing your technical knowledge and hands-on skills to contribute to successful project completions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair water supply, drainage, waste, vent, and gas piping systems. Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and plumbing schematics. Install and service fixtures, water heaters, boilers, pumps, and other plumbing equipment. Diagnose plumbing issues and recommend effective repair solutions. Perform system testing and inspections to ensure proper operation and code compliance. Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time worked. Perform pipe threading, welding, and fitting tasks using hand tools and power tools while adhering to safety regulations Coordinate with contractors, inspectors, and other trades on construction projects. Provide professional and courteous customer service while maintaining a clean work area. Collaborate with construction teams, carpenters, HVAC technicians, and field service personnel to coordinate project activities Follow OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and Montana plumbing codes. Mentor apprentices as needed and assist with on-the-job training. Required Qualifications Current Montana Journeyman Plumber License. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Minimum of 4 years of plumbing experience or completion of a recognized apprenticeship program. Strong knowledge of Montana plumbing codes and industry best practices. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and customer service skills. Preferred Qualifications Backflow prevention certification. Medical gas certification. Experience in both residential and commercial plumbing. Experience operating excavation equipment or working with hydronic heating systems. Physical Requirements Lift and carry up to 75 pounds. Stand, kneel, bend, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces for extended periods. Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to safely operate hand and power tools. $40.00 - $48.00 per hour
