Job Overview LaBonte Plumbing is looking for a reliable and hardworking Plumber's Helper. No prior experience is necessary—we will train you. This is a physically demanding role and often involves working in dark, tight spaces with bad smells, sewage, and the occasional spiders or snakes. The ideal candidate must be comfortable with these environments, eager to learn, and able to assist our plumbing team safely and efficiently. The Plumbers Helper will assist licensed plumbers in various tasks related to construction plumbing, remodeling, and field service operations. The role requires a willingness to learn and the ability to work effectively on construction sites. Duties Assist plumbers with the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems. Help with pipe threading and fitting connections as directed. Support the team in reading blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements. Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are clean and in good working condition. Perform basic math calculations for measurements and material estimates. Follow safety protocols on construction sites to ensure a safe working environment. Participate in remodeling projects by assisting in the removal and installation of plumbing fixtures. Experience Previous experience in construction plumbing or related fields is a plus but not required. Familiarity with basic plumbing tools and equipment is beneficial. Ability to read blueprints or willingness to learn blueprint reading skills. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential. Must be able to work well as part of a team and communicate effectively with others on-site. A basic understanding of field service operations is advantageous.
