Commercial Plumber This role oversees the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems on commercial construction projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship, code compliance, and safe operations. You lead and work alongside a team of commercial plumbers to install water, sewer, and gas piping, interpret blueprints, troubleshoot complex plumbing issues, and coordinate tasks in a fast-paced job site environment. Responsibilities work on commercial construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Install, maintain, and repair commercial plumbing systems, including water supply, sewer, and gas piping in new and existing buildings. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan and lay out plumbing systems accurately. Ensure all plumbing work complies with local plumbing codes, safety regulations, and project specifications. Use plumbing tools and equipment to cut, fit, and assemble piping systems made from materials such as cast iron, PVC, and copper. Perform copper soldering and propress/Pro Press installations to create secure and reliable pipe connections. Troubleshoot and diagnose plumbing issues in commercial settings and implement effective solutions in a timely manner. Coordinate with other trades and site supervisors to schedule work, resolve conflicts, and maintain smooth project progress. Monitor job site conditions and adjust work methods to maintain safety and productivity in a fast-paced environment. Train and guide less experienced plumbers on proper techniques, safety practices, and quality standards. Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any changes to the plumbing layout or scope. Ensure proper use, care, and storage of plumbing tools, equipment, and materials. Essential Skills Hands-on experience with commercial plumbing installation and service in construction environments. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications for plumbing layouts. Strong knowledge of local plumbing codes and safety regulations applicable to commercial projects. Proficiency with plumbing tools, equipment, and materials used for installation, maintenance, and repair. Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for complex commercial plumbing systems. Ability to lead and work effectively both independently and as part of a team on active job sites.
