Full Job Description Responsibilities:
Working knowledge of blueprints and submittals as well as sequencing aspects of installation of all plumbing, including roof drains, rough in, and setting fixtures. General knowledge of code requirements and limitations. Knowledge of the different types of pipe, valves, fittings, as well as their function within the system. Must be able to work independently, and be able to solve small problem situations that occur during normal coordination with other trades. Should be professional at all times. Plumber will be the instructor to the plumbing helpers assigned to them. Will need to be familiar with all safety items. License to operate all equipment necessary to perform your job. Will be expected to repair, cap, and test all types of plumbing piping in a normal commercial installation, and any other duties assigned by Supervisor. You are expected to be proficient with all craft related tools, equipment, and the safe operation of such. Must have knowledge of all occupational hazards, from ladders to ditches.
Education:
Minimum of a high school education or equivalent.
Job Requirements/Special Skills:
Requires working in conditions of varying heat and cold and where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels.
