Intracoastal Water Co. is a new, locally owned whole-home water filtration company serving Wilmington and the Cape Fear coast. We install carbon filtration, water softeners, reverse osmosis, and well water treatment systems for homeowners who want to know exactly what's in their water. We're growing fast, we treat customers honestly, and we're looking for our first key installer to grow with us. If you're a skilled plumber who takes pride in clean, professional work — and you'd rather build a company than be a number at a big shop — we want to talk to you. What you'll do Install whole-home water filtration systems, water softeners, and reverse osmosis units in residential homes Tie systems into existing supply lines, set bypass valves, run drain lines, and pressure-test every install Perform in-home water tests and explain results to homeowners in plain English (we'll train you on our process) Diagnose and service well water systems (iron, sulfur, pH, sediment) — a big part of our work in Hampstead, Castle Hayne, and Ogden Keep a clean, respectful job site — drop cloths down, full walkthrough before you leave Represent the brand well: friendly, on-time, no-pressure (it's how we win in this market) What we're looking for Active North Carolina Plumbing Class I (P-I) contractor license, in good standing 2+ years of hands-on plumbing or water treatment installation experience Comfortable with copper, PEX, CPVC, and fittings; confident soldering and making clean connections Valid NC driver's license and clean driving record Reliable, punctual, and genuinely good with homeowners Able to lift 50+ lbs and work in garages, crawlspaces, and utility areas Nice to have (not required) Prior water treatment / filtration experience Backflow certification Knowledge of coastal NC water (PFAS/GenX, Castle Hayne aquifer hardness) — or eagerness to learn it Why work here Get in early. First installer hire at a growing company — real path to lead installer / operations as we scale Steady residential work, no commercial on-call chaos We invest in training and certifications Honest, no-pressure culture — you install great systems, you don't have to be a salesman Local routes — home every night, no long-haul travel
