Job Description

Licensed Service Plumber Position Summary This individual is responsible for the assembly, installation, retrofit and repair of pipes, fittings, and fixtures for heating, cooling, water, and drainage systems utilizing accepted industry practices and theory. Essential duties and responsibilities
  • Installation of new and existing plumbing systems for commercial /industrial buildings
  • General knowledge of plumbing and HVAC systems.
  • Repairs and maintains plumbing systems and fixtures.
  • Understanding materials required for plumbing project tasks.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with customers and co-workers.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve problems. Qualifications

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages, as well as draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, schedule, oral or diagram form.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Education and Experience
  • Four years of experience working as a licensed plumber doing service calls, repairs, and remodels. Experience working in the commercial sector is highly preferred.
  • Experience with boilers, pumps, and familiarity with building mechanical systems. Physical Demands

  • This position requires working outdoors, in mechanical/equipment rooms and in possible extreme weather conditions.
  • The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and heavy equipment.
  • The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock (high voltage) and vibration.
  • The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, and extreme heat.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
