Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Plumbing Apprentice and kickstart your career in the construction and plumbing industry! This paid apprenticeship offers hands-on experience working alongside skilled plumbers, gaining practical knowledge of plumbing systems, pipe installation, maintenance, and repair. You'll develop essential skills in reading blueprints, using hand and power tools safely, and adhering to building codes and safety protocols. Responsibilities Assist experienced plumbers with installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems on construction sites. Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to ensure accurate pipe installation and system setup. Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, and welding equipment safely and effectively. Measure, cut, assemble, and install pipes according to specifications while ensuring compliance with building codes. Support the maintenance of plumbing systems by troubleshooting issues and performing repairs as directed. Follow safety protocols rigorously to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and team members. Collaborate with team members on remodeling projects, handyman tasks, and general construction site duties. Experience Prior construction experience or exposure to construction sites is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential. Basic knowledge of plumbing principles, mechanical systems, and blueprint reading is advantageous. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, pipe threading techniques, and welding processes is a plus. Demonstrated ability to follow safety procedures and building code regulations during work activities. Excellent communication skills with a customer service-oriented mindset are valued for interacting professionally on-site. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and interpreting technical drawings are important.
