Overview Join our dynamic construction team as a Plumber Helper and play a vital role in supporting skilled plumbers in installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems across various construction sites. This entry-level position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the plumbing trade, develop technical skills, and contribute to building safe, efficient, and reliable plumbing infrastructure. Whether you're starting your career or looking to expand your construction expertise, this role provides a lively environment where teamwork, safety, and craftsmanship are at the forefront. Duties Assist licensed plumbers with the installation and repair of plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances. Prepare work sites by organizing tools, materials, and equipment needed for plumbing tasks. Use hand tools and power tools safely to cut, thread, assemble, and install piping according to blueprints and schematics. Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and building plans to support accurate pipe installation and system layout. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and OSHA standards at all times. Support the maintenance and repair of existing plumbing systems by troubleshooting issues using mechanical knowledge. Help with remodeling projects by assisting carpenters and other trades as needed on-site. Qualifications Previous construction experience or familiarity with construction sites is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential. Basic knowledge of plumbing systems, pipe threading, pipe installation, and schematic reading is highly desirable. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools safely, including saws, drills, wrenches, and pipe cutters. Strong mechanical aptitude with an understanding of HVAC systems or general maintenance is a plus. Good communication skills for effective teamwork and customer service when interacting with clients or site managers. Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately; basic math skills are necessary for measurements and calculations.
