Journeyman Plumber

Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Plumber to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across various commercial and residential construction sites. Your expertise will ensure that plumbing projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Duties Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances in new construction, remodeling, and maintenance projects. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute plumbing layouts. Operate hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, and welding equipment to assemble and install plumbing components. Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely on construction sites while adhering to safety protocols. Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements. Collaborate with other trades such as carpentry and HVAC technicians to coordinate project timelines and ensure seamless project execution. Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and compliance with safety standards throughout each project. Skills Extensive experience in construction plumbing with a solid understanding of pipe installation, repair techniques, and system troubleshooting. Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings essential for accurate installation. Strong mechanical knowledge related to plumbing components, fixtures, HVAC systems, and pipe threading. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other construction tools efficiently and safely. Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks required on construction sites. Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and best practices for plumbing installation and maintenance. Effective communication skills for working with team members across different trades as well as clients when necessary.
