$25.00 Employees being promoted to a higher classified position receive the minimum for the position or a pay rate adjustment of 8% whichever is greater. All regular positions also entitle the employee to several benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement which is largely paid by New Mexico Tech for the employee and dependents.

    JOB SUMMARY:
    Install, alter, or repair plumbing and mechanical systems. Includes Preventative Maintenance of mechanical systems (HVAC).
    JOB DUTIES
    Preventative maintenance on mechanical systems. Plumbing Repairs. New construction
    • plumbing and mechanical systems.
    Job ordering parts for projects and repairs. Emergency Standby Required. Emergency repairs after hours required / Other duties as assigned.
    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
    Must be able to read and comprehend instructions, write information and complete simple forms. High school (or GED) level ability in spelling, grammar, basic composition and math required. Complete knowledge of plumbing and mechanical system codes required. Experience in the use of power and hand tools required. Must have the ability to operate light duty trucks and equipment. Ability to operate some heavy duty equipment. Ability to use computer. Must have a valid NM driver's license. Journeyman's plumbing licenses required.
