Job Description
What to Expect Tesla is seeking a skilled Construction Plumber to join our dynamic Engineering-Procurement-Construction (EPC) project team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment focused on advancing energy sustainability. We are looking for candidates who bring passion for solving challenging problems, a commitment to teamwork, and a positive attitude towards hard work. What You'll Do Troubleshoot and maintain a wide range of piping systems, including domestic water, sanitary sewer, compressed air, nitrogen supply, chemical supply and waste, soft water, and argon Work with various piping materials such as PVC, CPVC, and copper, and demonstrate knowledge of ProPress fittings Install and maintain pumps, including transfer, sump, and both single and multistage centrifugal pumps Use complex plumbing, mechanical, and process piping schematics to plan work scopes, install improvements, and troubleshoot issues Consult manuals and interpret piping diagrams, P&IDs, blueprints, and schematics Display positive attitudes and practice good work ethics that reflect the mission, philosophy, and goals of the company What You'll Bring Minimum of 5+ years of experience in industrial plumbing Knowledge of industrial and process gases and liquids, hot and cold-water services, plumbing systems, and industrial chemical systems Proficiency in pipe section installation using couplings, clamps, screws, cement/glue, caulking, soldering, welding, and press-fit connections (ProPress) Ability to produce parts lists and work plans based on drawings or field observations Thoroughly evaluate job hazards and complete pre-work task planning Strong initiative and the ability to work independently and effectively with others Willingness to travel to other projects as needed Tesla is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
