EXPERIENCED PLUMBING MECHANIC

Sampson Plumbing & Heating - Bohemia, NY Full-Time | $30-$45+ Per Hour, Based on Experience Sampson Plumbing & Heating is growing, and we are looking for an experienced Plumbing Mechanic to join our team. We are looking for a skilled, dependable plumber who takes pride in their work, can troubleshoot problems in the field, and can handle a job properly from start to finish. This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for someone with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on plumbing experience in residential and/or commercial work. What You'll Be Doing Residential and commercial plumbing Commercial and residential rough plumbing Gas boiler installation, service and repair Boiler and heating system troubleshooting Basic boiler controls and wiring Water heater installation and replacement Plumbing service and repair Gas piping Cutting, assembling and installing piping systems Diagnosing plumbing and heating problems Testing completed work before leaving the job Maintaining clean, professional job sites Communicating professionally with customers, contractors and our office Following company procedures, plumbing codes and safety requirements Who We're Looking For The right candidate should: Have 5+ years of plumbing experience Have a clean and valid driver's license Be comfortable working throughout Nassau and Suffolk Counties Be capable of working independently Be able to troubleshoot instead of simply replacing parts Take pride in producing clean, professional work Pay attention to the details Be dependable and punctual Keep company vehicles, tools and job sites organized Communicate well with customers and coworkers Understand that the job isn't finished until the work has been tested and completed correctly Compensation $30.00-$45.00+ per hour Compensation will be based on experience, skill level and ability to perform independently. Experienced mechanics who can run jobs, troubleshoot systems and bring a strong skill set are encouraged to apply.
