Commercial Plumbing Technician Hardy Plumbing - Riverhead, NY Position Overview The Commercial Plumbing Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and installing plumbing systems in commercial properties. This role requires a strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, the ability to work independently or as part of a team, and a commitment to getting the job done! Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain commercial plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, and gas lines. Perform troubleshooting and diagnostic procedures to identify plumbing issues. Work on large-scale commercial fixtures such as water heaters, boilers, pumps, back-flow prevention devices, and other specialized systems. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal plumbing codes and safety regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, project managers, and clients. Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and job site conditions. Provide excellent workmanship and represent the company in a professional manner at all times. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in commercial plumbing (preferred). Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, tools, and materials. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in various environments (indoor, outdoor, confined spaces). Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Requirements:

Proven plumbing experience (residential and/or commercial). Knowledge of modern plumbing methods, codes, and materials. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus. Professional, reliable, and team-oriented mindset.

Compensation & Benefits:

Hourly Pay:
