Job Description

TOP NOTCH WELL PUMPS & PLUMBING
Experienced Service Plumber Full-Time Customer-Facing Bellbrook / Centerville /
Dayton, OH FLSA Status:
Non-Exempt (hourly, overtime-eligible) We're growing, and we're looking for an experienced plumber who's as comfortable diagnosing a tricky repair as explaining it to the homeowner standing right next to them. If you take pride in clean work, straight answers, and leaving every customer glad they called us — keep reading. About Top Notch Top Notch Well Pumps & Plumbing is a locally owned field service company serving the Greater Dayton Area. We install and repair well pumps and pressure tanks, handle residential plumbing service calls, and clear drains. We've built our reputation the hard way — by doing the job right the first time and treating every customer like a neighbor. As we grow, we're adding plumbers who share that standard. About the Role This is a customer-facing service role. You'll run your own calls — diagnosing problems, walking homeowners through their options, and completing repairs and installs to a high standard. A year in, you'll be the plumber customers ask for by name, with a book of repeat and referral business to show for it. If you'd rather solve problems and talk to people than sit in a shop all day, this is your seat. What You'll Do Run residential and light commercial plumbing service calls from start to finish — diagnose, quote, and repair. Explain findings and options to homeowners in plain language, and earn their trust on the spot.
Perform repairs and installations:
water heaters, fixtures, faucets, valves, repipes, leaks, and well pump related plumbing. Keep your truck stocked, job sites clean, and every call documented — notes, photos, and paperwork logged in our field service app. Represent Top Notch professionally — on time, in uniform, and respectful of the customer's home. Support the team where needed — including well pumps, water treatment, drains, and excavation. What We're Looking For Required 4+ years of hands-on plumbing experience. Journeyman-level experience under a licensed contractor Valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Strong customer communication — you're comfortable talking with homeowners and explaining your work clearly and honestly. Ability to lift and carry equipment, work in tight or awkward spaces, and handle the physical demands of service work. Must be able to pass a background check. Top Notch is a drug-free workplace; testing may occur after a workplace accident or on reasonable suspicion of impairment. Preferred (nice to have) Well pump experience. Water heater, repipe, and water-treatment experience. Excavation and trench work. Familiarity with field service software (scheduling, invoicing, and photo documentation on a tablet or phone).
