This paid apprenticeship offers a hands-on learning experience, where you'll develop essential skills in plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair under the guidance of experienced professionals. You'll gain practical knowledge of construction plumbing systems, blueprint reading, and mechanical concepts while working on real projects at active construction sites. This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to build a solid foundation in plumbing trades and contribute to high-quality infrastructure projects. Responsibilities Assist senior plumbers with installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems on construction sites. Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to plumbing and HVAC systems. Operate hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding apparatus safely and effectively. Support the assembly and installation of piping, fixtures, and mechanical components in accordance with project specifications. Participate in site inspections, safety checks, and quality control procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards. Help with remodeling, maintenance tasks, and general handyman duties as needed on various construction projects. Contribute to the organization of materials and tools on-site to promote efficiency and safety. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical coursework in construction or plumbing is a plus. Basic understanding of construction processes, plumbing systems, and mechanical principles. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and pipe threading techniques. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately. Strong mechanical aptitude with good problem-solving skills; basic math skills for measurements and calculations. Previous experience in construction site work or handyman roles is advantageous but not required. Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards learning and safety compliance.
