In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will ensure all work complies with local building codes, plumbing regulations, and safety standards. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help deliver reliable plumbing solutions that meet client expectations and project deadlines. Duties Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, gas piping systems, and appliances on construction sites. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to execute precise pipe installation and system layouts. Ensure all work adheres to local building codes, plumbing building codes, and safety regulations throughout each project phase. Operate hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools safely and effectively. Perform maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) tasks on existing plumbing systems to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with construction teams, electricians, HVAC specialists, carpenters, and other trades to coordinate project activities smoothly. Conduct system inspections for building code compliance and troubleshoot issues using schematics and technical diagrams. Lift heavy materials safely during pipe installation or remodeling projects while maintaining adherence to safety standards. Utilize basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to pipe sizing or flow rates, and estimating project requirements. Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients or contractors about project progress or system needs. Requirements Valid Oregon Journeyman Plumber license with proven experience in construction plumbing environments. Construction site experience with a strong understanding of heavy lifting, assembly, remodeling, and field service tasks. Knowledge of plumbing building codes, local building codes, safety regulations, and mechanical standards. Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, construction plans, and technical diagrams related to plumbing systems. Experience working with gas piping systems, pipe threading equipment, welding techniques, and HVAC components is highly desirable. Ability to operate hand tools such as wrenches, pipe cutters; power tools including drills; as well as carpentry skills for framing or remodeling tasks. Familiarity with maintenance procedures for plumbing systems in residential and commercial settings; experience with MRO is a plus. Strong mechanical aptitude combined with basic math skills for measurements and calculations needed on-site. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and providing quality customer service when interacting directly with clients or contractors. Commitment to following safety regulations during all phases of construction work; ability to lift heavy materials safely is essential.
