We specialize in residential service and repair, remodeling, water heaters, sewer inspections, drain cleaning, and light commercial plumbing. As our company continues to grow, we're looking for a licensed Journeyman Plumber who shares those values and wants to help us build something exceptional. Position Summary The Journeyman Plumber is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of plumbing systems in residential and commercial buildings, as well as construction environments. This position requires a professional who can work independently while maintaining high standards of safety, workmanship, and customer service. Responsibilities Install residential and commercial plumbing systems, including water supply, waste, and vent systems Install fixtures, valves, piping systems, and associated plumbing equipment Diagnose plumbing system issues and perform repairs Troubleshoot and repair plumbing fixtures, piping systems, and equipment Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications Collaborate with homeowners, contractors, project managers, and other trades Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites Follow OSHA safety regulations and company safety procedures Accurately document work performed and communicate effectively with customers and office staff
Qualifications Required:
Valid Oregon Journeyman Plumbing License Demonstrated experience with residential and commercial plumbing systems Working knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and safety standards Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints Valid driver's license and driving record that meets company insurance requirements Ability to communicate professionally and respectfully with customers, contractors, and team members Ability to work independently and effectively resolve issues in the field
Preferred:
Residential service plumbing experience Commercial plumbing experience Remodeling experience Mechanical room installation and maintenance experience
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and work in confined spaces for extended periods Ability to work on ladders and elevated surfaces Ability to safely access crawl spaces and attics Work Environment Employees will regularly work in a variety of environments, including: Occupied residential homes during service, repair, and remodeling projects Commercial buildings and facilities Active construction and renovation sites Mechanical rooms and utility spaces Crawl spaces, attics, and other confined work areas Outdoor job sites in varying weather conditions What Makes Spectrum Plumbing Different?
