Plumber Job Description This role involves performing commercial plumbing work on a large-scale project, contributing to one of the most significant construction jobs in the state. You will use your trade qualifications and hands-on experience to install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in a demanding commercial environment. Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain commercial plumbing systems, including piping, fixtures, valves, and related components. Interpret and follow plumbing plans, blueprints, and specifications to complete work accurately and efficiently. Ensure all plumbing work complies with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations. Inspect plumbing systems and components to identify issues, perform troubleshooting, and determine appropriate repairs. Collaborate with other trades and site personnel to coordinate tasks and maintain project timelines. Use appropriate tools, equipment, and materials to complete plumbing installations and repairs to a high standard. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to site safety protocols at all times. Document completed work as required by project procedures and report any issues or delays to site leadership. Essential Skills Proven experience in commercial plumbing work. Current P1 plumbing qualification. Current P2 plumbing qualification. Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, standards, and best practices for commercial environments. Ability to read and interpret plumbing drawings, plans, and specifications. Competence in using plumbing tools and equipment safely and effectively. Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. Ability to work effectively as part of a team on a large construction site. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working on large-scale or high-profile commercial construction projects. Strong problem-solving skills for diagnosing and resolving plumbing issues in complex systems. Good communication skills for coordinating with supervisors, contractors, and other trades. Reliable, punctual, and able to manage tasks in a fast-paced site environment. Why Work Here? You will follow site safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment and workwear suitable for a commercial construction setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bridgeport, CT. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $48.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
