Job Description

The Plumbing Technician is responsible for locating and diagnosing maintenance problems on equipment, conducting warranty services installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes, valves, draining systems and fixtures in commercial and residential structures. They will need the knowledge and the ability to be able to respond to diagnosis and be able to resolve plumbing issues. First and foremost, your core values should align with ours: Give A Crap

Key Responsibilities:
Perform installation of plumbing systems at residential homes, apartments, rental properties, and light commercial. Act as main point of contact for customers in regards to all quality standards, questions and concerns Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, and other construction professionals. Follow building plans and blueprints. Respond to, diagnose, and resolve plumbing emergencies. Ensure highest possible quality is achieved to exceed customer expectations Act as a strategic partner to achieve company goals focused on quality Communicate with our Dispatch & Service Tech Manager regarding jobs for the day Operate in a fast-paced environment to keep operations running smoothly

Qualifications Required:
Basic wiring, ductwork, gas piping, venting and copper brazing experience. Professional appearance and communication skills. Personal tools needed to perform work. Positive attitude and enthusiasm towards learning new skills and a mindset of getting the job done. Self-starter with the ability to work with little or no supervision within a team focused environment. Ability to pass a criminal background check. Available to work overtime with the occasional weekend as necessary. High school or equivalent. 3-5 years of experience. Work authorization. Valid driver's license required. Must maintain a driving record that meets Go-Forth's motor vehicle record (MVR) standards throughout employment. Must be 21 years of age or older to operate a company vehicle, in accordance with company insurance requirements.
Qualifications Preferred:
Bilingual communication skills are a plus.
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift up to 50lbs Ability to meet the physical demands-lifting, carrying, walking, crawling, standing, stooping, sitting and climbing for prolonged periods of time Working conditions will include rooftops, concrete structures, ceilings, crawlspaces, attics, basements, extreme weather conditions, etc.
Work Environment:
Work is performed in residential homes, commercial properties, construction sites, and outdoor environments with varying weather conditions and job-site conditions. Position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, lifting, and working in confined spaces such as crawl spaces, attics, and basements. Exposure to dust, noise, chemicals, plumbing systems, and other job-site hazards; adherence to safety procedures and use of required PPE is mandatory. Candidate must be within a reasonable commuting distance of Charlotte, NC or willing to relocate prior to start date.
