Job Description

Service Plumber (Commercial / Industrial) About the Opportunity A growing mechanical service contractor in the Greater Houston area is seeking an experienced Service Plumber to join their team. This is a service-focused role supporting commercial, industrial, and emerging healthcare projects across the Baytown and surrounding areas. This company is expanding its footprint in industrial facilities and hospitals, offering long-term stability and strong career development opportunities.
This role has:
Strong pipeline of service work in industrial and commercial sectors Opportunity to break into hospital/healthcare projects Work for a service-driven team with steady demand and growth plans Key Responsibilities Perform service, maintenance, and troubleshooting on commercial and industrial plumbing systems Diagnose and repair piping systems, fixtures, and equipment Support retrofit and remodel projects Work independently in the field, interacting with customers and facility teams Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with applicable codes and standards Participate in on-call or rotating service schedules as needed Required Experience 5+ years of service plumbing experience (commercial preferred) Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic ability Experience in service & maintenance environments (not just new construction) Exposure to commercial or industrial projects Preferred Qualifications Backflow certification (or willingness to obtain) Medical Gas (Med Gas) experience (or willingness to be trained/certified) Experience in: Industrial or plant environments Heavy commercial facilities Healthcare/hospital projects Familiarity with fusion piping / HDPE / specialized piping systems Site & Compliance Requirements Ability to meet industrial site requirements when needed, including: TWIC card and/or DISA clearance (preferred) Clean background Ability to pass drug screening (urine and/or hair follicle, depending on site) What They're Looking For Service-minded professionals who enjoy troubleshooting and problem-solving Technicians with a well-rounded background (service, remodel, maintenance) Individuals looking to grow into more technical or certified roles (backflow, med gas) Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly rate Consistent service work (no heavy reliance on new construction backlog) Opportunities to gain additional certifications and expand skillset Long-term career growth tied to company expansion in industrial and healthcare sectors Get job alerts Share Copied to clipboard Related roles Utility Superintendent Washington, DC
