POSITION SUMMARY
In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems throughout our facility. Your expertise will ensure that all plumbing work adheres to safety standards, building codes, and project specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work utilizing your mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills to deliver top-quality results in an all-hands team department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances throughout the site. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute precise plumbing layouts. Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding techniques to assemble plumbing components efficiently. Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely while adhering to site safety protocols. Collaborate with Electricians, HVAC specialists, and other trades to coordinate project tasks seamlessly. Conduct inspections of plumbing systems on a monthly/ yearly PM scedual to ensure compliance with codes and standards. Troubleshoot mechanical issues related to plumbing and HVAC systems using mechanical knowledge and schematics.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Valid license as a professional plumber with relevant state or local certification. Experience with chill water and steam systems. Proven experience in commercial plumbing, site work, or remodeling projects. Strong understanding of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical diagrams. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding techniques. Knowledge of HVAC systems and general mechanical principles is highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and accurately read basic math for measurements and calculations.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Prior experience working on construction sites with familiarity in carpentry, assembly, and handyman tasks is a plus. WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in indoor settings, including office and warehouse/airplane hangar environments which require the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, fax machines and safety gear. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.

Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Ascending and descending stairs. Occasional bending and kneeling. Sitting about 50 of the time. Walking required. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
