Responsibilities:
  • Install, assemble, and maintain pipes and pipe systems for water, steam, air, or other liquids and gases.
  • Interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to determine layout and installation procedures.
  • Cut, thread, and bend pipes using tools such as pipe cutters, threading machines, and pipe-bending tools.
  • Join pipes and fittings using welding, soldering, brazing, or other methods.
  • Inspect and test installed systems to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety standards.
  • Repair and replace worn or defective parts, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Collaborate with other trades and contractors to complete installations and resolve issues.
  • Ensure adherence to building codes, safety regulations, and

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in plumbing, pipefitting, or steamfitting in industrial, commercial, or residential settings.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Proficient in the use of relevant tools and equipment.
  • Understanding of safety procedures and building codes.
  • Physical ability to perform demanding tasks, including lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or apprenticeship preferred.
