ABOUT US

Mireau is a Salt Lake City-based water treatment company specializing in whole-home water filtration and softener installations. We help homeowners across the Salt Lake Valley get cleaner, softer water through professionally installed, code-compliant systems. As we grow, we're looking for a licensed plumber to join our team full-time and lead the technical side of our installs.

THE ROLE

You'll be the hands-on expert responsible for installing, servicing, and troubleshooting residential water treatment systems — whole-home water softeners, whole-home carbon/ sediment filtration, and point-of-use RO systems (under-sink drinking water) — in homes across the Salt Lake Valley. This isn't general rough-in plumbing; it's a focused, technical specialty where you'll become the go-to person for both point-of-entry water treatment and point-of-use drinking water systems.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Install whole-home water softeners and filtration systems at the main water line, plus point
  • of-use RO systems at kitchen sinks/fridges, including all necessary plumbing tie-ins, bypass valves, and drain connections
  • Diagnose and repair issues with existing installed systems (leaks, pressure problems, valve failures, membrane/media issues)
  • Ensure every installation meets Utah plumbing code and manufacturer specifications
  • Represent Mireau professionally and communicate effectively with homeowners on-site
  • Maintain a clean, professional, safety-conscious job site on every visit
  • Keep accurate records of installs, parts used, and permit/inspection status
WHAT YOU NEED
  • Active Utah plumbing License — Journeyman Plumber, Residential Journeyman Plumber, or Master Plumber (required; verified through Utah DOPL)
  • 2+ years of hands-on plumbing experience; water treatment/softener/RO installation experience strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of Utah plumbing code as it applies to point-of-entry water treatment systems and point-of-use drinking water systems
  • Comfortable working independently in customers' homes with minimal supervision
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Strong communication skills and a professional, customer-facing manner
  • Physical ability to lift equipment (softener tanks, filtration housings) and work in crawlspaces, basements, and mechanical rooms Nice to have:
  • Master Plumber license
  • Prior experience in a water treatment, plumbing service, or home services business
WHAT WE OFFER
  • $40•60/hour to start, with placement in the range based on your license level and years of directly relevant experience•Paid time off•Company work van provided during work hours•Annual performance review with bonus potential•Steady, year-round work with a growing local company•Clear path to growth as we expand
