Perform skilled work commercial building systems such as alteration of plumbing, steam, pipefitting and specialty piping systems. Opportunity to work in a variety of settings within the hospital, research facilities, morgues, laboratories, commercial kitchens and patient care areas.PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Respond to daily hospital customer orders for things such as, but not limited to, clogs, leaks, dripping faucets, steam radiators not working, etc. Install, remove and repair all categories of plumbing fixtures. Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain potable water, waste, vent, and process piping systems. Repair and maintain piping, tanks, pumps, pressure vessels, and associated systems. Install, service and adjust pumps, ejectors, valves, stills, dishwashers, coils, and heat exchangers. Follow proper procedures for working on medical gas piping, testing, alarm systems, and leak detection. Install, maintain, and troubleshoot piping, traps, regulators, strainers, and condensate systems.REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Completion of a recognized apprenticeship as a plumber/pipefitter/steamfitter, OR full journey status as a plumber/pipefitter/steamfitter in a union, OR four years' applicable work experience. Vocational training may be substituted for work experience on a year-for-year basis. Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license may be required. Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.Compensation, Benefits and Position Details Pay Range Minimum:
$39.25 hourlyPay Range Maximum:
