Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction plumbing, pipe threading, and mechanical systems, with the ability to read schematics and blueprints. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in commercial and residential settings, ensuring compliance with safety standards and building codes. The Journeyman Plumber will work on construction sites, remodeling projects, and maintenance tasks, utilizing a variety of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment. A solid understanding of HVAC systems, carpentry, and field service operations is highly desirable. Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in commercial and residential buildings following blueprints and schematics Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans accurately Operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and pipe threading machines safely and efficiently Perform pipe fitting, threading, and assembly tasks with precision Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment as required on construction sites or during remodeling projects Collaborate with other trades such as carpentry and HVAC to complete integrated projects Troubleshoot plumbing issues using mechanical knowledge and field service techniques Ensure all work complies with local codes, safety regulations, and industry standards Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety protocols at all times Assist in remodeling or maintenance projects as needed Qualifications Valid Journeyman Plumber license or certification required Proven experience in construction plumbing, site work, or related fields Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings Strong mechanical knowledge including pipe threading, welding, and assembly techniques Experience with HVAC systems, carpentry skills, and handyman work is a plus Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and pipe threading machines safely Knowledge of construction site safety practices and OSHA regulations Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks regularly Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to plumbing installations Valid driver's license for commercial driving preferred but not mandatory Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail Reliable work ethic with the ability to work independently or as part of a team This position offers an engaging environment for skilled professionals eager to apply their expertise in a dynamic construction setting while advancing their careers.
