This is a Direct job in the San Dimas, CA area.

HR Job Summary:
The Pump Mechanic is responsible for tearing down, inspecting, and reassembling pumps to support the full repair and rebuild lifecycle. This role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and effective communication with engineers and supervisors to ensure accuracy in reporting and assembly. Pump Mechanics provide critical feedback and precise measurements that support engineering decisions and directly impact pump performance and reliability.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Tear down pumps and assemblies, including bowls and discharge heads. Inspect and troubleshoot pumps to identify wear patterns and issues. Record findings and generate tear-down reports, including precise measurements for Application Engineer department review. Reassemble pumps based on the approval of Bill of Materials (BOM) provided by the Project Manager. Support ongoing pump rebuild projects through all stages: staging, tear down, inspection, reporting, and reassembly. Collaborate with engineers and leadership to ensure accurate reporting and quality standards. Maintain work area, tools, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Perform other duties as assigned.
Miscellaneous Duties:
Assist with staging pumps using forklifts, pallet jacks, or overhead crane as needed. Communicate unclear instructions or findings with supervisors for clarification.
