The schedule is just 2 to 4 days per month with excellent pay. If you are retired and know your way around a centrifugal pump with your eyes closed, this one is for you. About the Role This course covers inspection, overhaul, and reliability improvement for centrifugal and other common industrial pumps. Students get their hands on real pumps, take them apart, fix them, and put them back together the right way. You will teach the techniques that prevent failures and extend equipment life — the kind of knowledge that only comes from years on the job. What You Will Do Deliver hands-on instruction in pump disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly Teach seal replacement, impeller clearance adjustment, and precision alignment Cover common pump failure modes and how to catch them during inspection Instruct on reliability-focused repair practices that extend pump life Guide students through complete pump overhaul exercises in a workshop setting Teach system troubleshooting including cavitation, recirculation, and performance curves Required Qualifications 10+ years of hands-on experience with industrial pump maintenance and overhaul Strong knowledge of centrifugal, positive displacement, and specialty pump types Experience with pump alignment, mechanical seals, and precision assembly Ability to teach in a hands-on workshop with real equipment Clear, patient communication style Preferred Qualifications Understanding of hydraulic fundamentals and pump performance curves Background in petrochemical, water treatment, or power generation Prior training or mentoring experience Schedule & Compensation 2 to 4 days per month — flexible scheduling that works around your life Excellent pay for your time and expertise On-site, hands-on teaching environment No nights, no on-call, no long stretches away from home How to Apply Click on Indeed, or message to reach us directly.
