//www.dxpe.com/about-us/careers/ Responsibilities of the Pump Mechanic include, but are not limited to: Repair/fabricate a variety of centrifugal, gear, diaphragm, and reciprocating pumps, gear reducers and related rotating equipment Troubleshoot, disassemble, inspect and repair a variety of rotating equipment including centrifugal pumps (both single and multi-stage), gear pumps, reciprocating pumps and metering pumps, gear reducers, blowers (both vacuum and pressure), mechanical seals, and many other types of equipment Install equipment using manufacturer specifications ensuring proper alignment balance and tolerances Read and understand an IOM and BOM Maintain safe operations by adhering to all safety procedures and regulations Able to perform field service at customer site representing DXP Field service responsibilities include, but are not limited to, field pump repairs, troubleshooting fire pump control panels (training provided), and performing fire pump testing (training provided) Qualifications of the Pump Mechanic include, but are not limited to: Good mechanical aptitude required Experience working with rotating equipment a plus Applicant must be customer driven Be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and physical Ability to work well with others in a team environment Must have positive "can-do" attitude Have the ability or learn to read and interpret mechanical drawings, and service manuals and possess ability to work with basic math Ability to use a variety of hand tools, machine tools, and precision measuring instruments Demonstrated ability to work safely and follow safety procedures and regulations Demonstrated ability to act in a self-directed manner with no immediate supervision A background, physical, lift assessment and drug screening is required #LI-YJ1 ##zrjj

Physical Demand:

Must be able to lift 50 lbs. multiple times daily unassisted, 75 lbs. assisted, and push or pull 100 lbs. assisted; must be able to stand/walk for extended periods

Working Conditions:

Must be willing to work inside and outside as required; may be exposed to elements and outdoor temperatures

Training/Certifications:

Professional skilled training is a plus

Shift Time/Overtime:

Typical work is 7:00am - 3:30pm and overtime can be required but is limited

Travel:

Must have acceptable driving record according to company guidelines

Education:
