Pump-Over Operator

The Pump-Over Operator is responsible for pumping over cheese vats into the cheese press when pasteurization has occurred. This position also ensures all bags are hung on the press prior to pump over. Candidate needs to understand the importance of when and how to pump over to ensure proper filling of cheese bags. This position will also load and unload tanker trailers as needed during their shift. Operator must have good time management skills to ensure timely manner of CIPs before shift ends. The Operator will be scheduled to work Wednesday - Saturday evenings. Shift begins at 3pm until duties are completed.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Review daily production schedules and understand work requirements Hang and prepare all cheese bags in both presses to receive cheese Ensure all cheese bags are in good condition and recognize any damage to bags Monitor and Record all PH readings on cheese vats Ensure all master sanitation is getting completed Ensure cheese press is working properly and no cheese bags fell during pump over Complete paperwork as needed Take sample(s) in accordance with SOP's Assist in cleaning and sanitizing of cheese press Make CIP connections after cheese pump over Foam equipment during CIP Receive whey trucks Load whey trucks

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be dependable and trustworthy Must be accurate in taking samples and performing tests Ability to operate (or learn to operate) necessary equipment Ability to stand and walk the entire shift if needed Effectively and efficiently perform necessary tasks alone Ability to read and write instructions in English Must be able to work weekends, and overtime as required Knowledge of HACCP, GMP's, OSHA, SQF is highly desirable
